ENJOY YEAR-ROUND TENNIS AT THE OLD SAYBROOK RACQUET CLUB

You don't need a membership to play at O.S.R.C. we are open to the public!

We are home to four indoor championship hard courts, four exceptional outdoor red clay courts, a full-service Pro Shop and an experienced instructional staff. We have tennis instruction offered to every age and skill level: from toddlers to senior adults and from absolute beginner to advanced competitor. 

The Old Saybrook Racquet Club is a place where families play, friends meet, and cherished memories are made. We offer flexible and competitively priced tennis court rentals. 

The tennis programs include Adult Clinics, Point Play, Round Robin Play, Club Tournaments, and USTA League play.

Teams compete in five national divisions: Adult, Senior, Mixed Doubles, and Tri-Level. Teams compete at the local, state and sectional level. The play format features singles and doubles matches for adult leagues, and three doubles matches for Tri-level, Seniors, and Mixed Doubles leagues.

USTA League is organized, competitive team play for women and men aged 18 and older of all abilities and experience. Whether you're new to the game or a former college player, there's a spot for you. 

Teams and matches are set up according to NTRP ratings, so your teammates and opponents will be at your skill level. The competition is exciting, and the atmosphere is social. * Membership is not required to participate

TENNIS ROUND ROBINS 
We offer two year-round weekly round robins. This is a great way to enjoy singles and  doubles match play with many different players at a variety of playing levels. If you are new to the area, this is also a great way to meet other players. 

MONDAY EVENING DOUBLES ROUND ROBIN

COST: 1.5 units per person for members: $30pp for non-members

thames Valley league

Thames Valley is a summer tennis league that includes teams from Old Saybrook Racquet Club and surrounding towns and clubs. The season extends from May through July, and matches are held on weekday evenings.

Old Saybrook Racquet Club has a Men’s A Team, a Men’s B Team, and a Women’s Open Team.

pickleball

Pickleball Play:

Interested in playing the fastest growing sport in the country, then look no further. All of our pickleball is run by PPR Certified Instructor, Kathy Reidy.  Our program is designed as level play.  We offer beginner/intermediate, intermediate, advanced/intermediate and advanced play.  For those who would like to learn to play or learn more advanced skills we do offer clinics at all levels as well.  For any questions regarding our program please contact Kathy Reidy at kreidy@comcast.net 

Intermediate Pickleball Play: Fridays 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Beginner/intermediate, Intermediate and advanced intermediate play: Sundays 8:30 am to 11:30 am

Advanced Play: Saturdays 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

$15 per person to play

Pickleball Tournaments:

Tournaments are a great way to meet new players, challenge your skill and improve your game.  We run two large pickleball tournaments in the summer.  In addition we have monthly tournaments that are held on Saturday afternoons. These are one day tournaments.  Each month the tournament varies.  In December we hosted a men's tournament, January we hosted a mixed and in February we are hosting a women's and a men's tournament.  Please see pickleballbrackets.com to register or contact Kathy Reidy with questions.  

Junior Pickleball Program:

Do your kids want to learn Pickleball this summer?  We are offering a one week only Pickleball camp for kids ages 11+.  The program will run Tuesday, July 18th through Friday, July 20th.  The kids will learn all about Pickleball from 9:00- 11:00 am, followed by lunch and free swim.  (lunch is not provided).  The week will finish with a fun tournament on Friday!  Register by going to our calendar of events.  Registration is limited, so do not miss out!
